What’s in a name…

Were you looking for Ration & Dram? Don’t worry, you’re in the right place. Ration & Dram has a new name! Why change our name you ask? Well, over the years our décor has developed a decidedly spooky lean to it, what with the permanent Halloween decorations and skull wallpaper. So, we figured it was time to change our name to match our identity.

Introducing Dead End Drinks!

No one escapes from life alive.

So why not have some fun before you leave? With a full food menu, crafted cocktails, & a wide spirit selection, Dead End Drinks is just the place to have some fun. We’re not here to take ourselves too seriously. We like laughing too loud, good (and bad) puns, and spooky things.

Our Bar

While we may not take ourselves too seriously, our craft is important to us. Our cocktails are crafted and our spirits, beers, and wines are selected for their quality. On our cocktail menu you will find an old classic, a new favorite, and a nightcap to finish off your meal.

Our Kitchen

We offer dinner Wednesday through Saturday and Brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Our seasonal menus are made with thoughtful ingredients and can easily accommodate most dietary restrictions. Are you gluten intolerant or vegetarian? We want you to be able to choose from more than just a salad. With our selection of gluten-free breads and flours, almost our entire menu can be made to be gluten-free. And a large majority of our menu is vegetarian friendly. Check out our sample menus!

What are you waiting for? Come on in! We’re dying to see you! (See what we did there?)

Don’t have time to come in for a meal?

We have a fancy online ordering system! Anywhere you see an orange button, you can click it and it will take you to our online ordering. There, you’ll be able to choose from our dinner menu and selected alcohol options. We are not offering to-go ordering for our brunch menu at this time.

Regarding online orders, here’s some legal jargon we’re required to tell you about:

We’ll be happy to cancel your order so long as we haven’t begun to prepare your order. Please note that a cancellation may not be possible if we have already begun working on your order. WE ARE THE WEIRDOS MISTER

Andy Minchow

Andy Minchow

Drink Maker & Beer Pourer

Originally from Las Vegas, Andy got his start behind the bar at Emeril’s in the MGM Grand and eventually moved in 2003 to open Emeril’s Atlanta. After a few years, he left Emeril’s to serve as a bar consultant to numerous local restaurants, advising on bar programs and set up. In 2008, Andy teamed up with friends and business partners to create Holeman & Finch Public House. In early 2011, Andy stepped out from behind the bar to serve as Managing Partner of the H&F Bottle Shop.

Andy’s cocktails and creative bar ideas have been featured in such publications as Bon Appetit, Imbibe, Esquire, Atlanta Magazine and Travel + Leisure. He was most recently honored as the national winner of the Sandeman Port contest at the Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans.

As vice-president of the Atlanta chapter of the United States Bartenders Guild, Andy helped to expand the influence of the USBG by increasing national awareness of Atlanta’s cocktail scene and the quality of local and regional bartending competition. He hopes to take it back old school and pay homage to the classic cocktail culture.

Caitlin Crawford

Caitlin Crawford

Runs the Show

Caitlin began her hospitality career as a host at Joe’s Crab Shack. Unfortunately, she lacked the dancing skills to really rise through the ranks in that corporation, so she focused her efforts on working in restaurants that only required enough coordination to walk fast while balancing a tray. Although the competition was tough, Caitlin eventually became so efficient at walking fast with trays that she was eligible to oversee other people walking fast with trays.

During her time at Restaurant Eugene as General Overseer of Fast-Walkers, she met her partner Andy Minchow. In March 2014, she and Andy opened Ration & Dram where she is General Overseer of Fast-Walkers and Food-Makers. Caitlin has always enjoyed most the hospitality of taking care of people who are hungry and thirsty. This is why you’ll find her most days chatting with guests while others do all of the hard work. On the weekends, Caitlin is also our Resident Biscuit Maker so stop by during brunch on Saturday or Sunday for a warm biscuit that will feed your soul.
